Policy Statement

The safety, health and environmental aspects of Nicro Engineering are our highest priority at all times.

OH & S

We acknowledge our duty of care towards every person engaged by Nicro Engineering, and commit to go well beyond mere compliance with the law in safeguarding our people.

We are committed to maintain and improve a safe work environmental. All of our staff share our conviction that accidents and injury can be eliminated.

All our actions to secure high safety, health and environment standards are built upon consultation and co-operation between all within the workforce, with specialist advice and training provided to encourage improvements.

Environment

At Nicro Engineering we strive to minimize our carbon footprint in everything we manufacture.

Our reduction of waste and pollution as well as our responsible use of finite resources is our obligation to the local and global community as well as future generations.

Measurable objectives and targets set through specific safety, health and environmental meetings to chart progress towards the reduction of the environmental footprint, prevention of injury and accidents, with the goal of proactively and effectively managing safety, health and the environment.

Core Responsibilities

Managing Director shall be accountable for providing leadership and direction for safety, health and environmental actions and initiatives, and for ensuring continual improvement of our overall performance in the responsible reduction of environmental impacts as well as the elimination and reduction of injury and illness within the business.

The OH&S Officer is responsible for creating systems that ensure the workplace is as safe and practical as possible, implementing those systems in conjunction with the rest of senior management.

Workshop Foreman and Project Leaders are accountable for implementing and monitoring responsible work activities, and for theaddressing and communicatingof environmental, health and safety issues to ensure that risks are minimized.

Employees & Contractors are expected to participate in environmental, health and safety meetings and activities, to comply with all requirements put in place to safeguard them, report any identified issues and to ensure that no person is placed at risk by any action or any failure to act on their part.
